Heather Majtyka, MOT OTR/L

Heather's journey is a testament to the transformative power of personal experiences and professional dedication. Growing up in northern Virginia, Heather moved to Penn State University to study Organizational Psychology. This field laid the groundwork for her analytical and empathetic approach to her later career. After college, her life took a profound turn when her son Padraic was diagnosed with Autism, leading her to discover the world of Autism and Occupational Therapy. This pivotal moment inspired her to pursue a master's degree in occupational therapy from Temple University.

Since 2007, Heather has diligently expanded her expertise, earning advanced trainings and certifications in the following:

  • Sensory Integration

  • Praxis

  • The Tomatis Method (Level 4)

  • Reflex Integration

  • Therapeutic Listening

  • The Safe and Sound Protocol

  • DIR Floortime.

Her commitment to continuous learning ensures that she provides her clients with the most current and evidence-based techniques available.

Heather's role as an Occupational Therapy practitioner brings her immense joy and fulfillment. She feels privileged to be part of the lives of each family she encounters, always believing in the limitless potential of every individual. As both a practice owner and a parent, Heather champions the philosophy of presuming intellect in all her clients.

Residing in Media, Pennsylvania, with her husband and youngest son, Heather cherishes time spent with her grown children and enjoys outdoor activities, particularly those involving the water in Delaware State Parks. Her life and career are beautifully intertwined, driven by a profound sense of gratitude and a commitment to making a difference.

Kaylin Magosin, MS, OTR/L

Kaylin is a passionate pediatric occupational therapist who brings a strong foundation in neuroscience, child development, and relationship-based care to her work at Kidnecting Potential. She earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Salus University, graduating summa cum laude, and holds a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh with minors in chemistry and math.

Kaylin’s deep interest in the brain-body connection and how it shapes our ability to participate in everyday life is what led her to the field of occupational therapy. Her curiosity and analytical nature drive her to “chase the why” behind each client’s unique challenges, with the goal of uncovering the root causes of dysregulation or difficulty.

She has experience working with toddlers through young adults in the clinical private practice environment as well as school-based practice supporting diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, developmental delays, learning differences, and anxiety. She uses a relationship-based, developmental lens to guide therapy and loves getting to know each child in a way that sparks engagement, trust, and joy in the therapeutic process.

Kaylin is a Proficient DIR/Floortime® practitioner, has completed the CLASI Certificate in Ayres Sensory Integration® (CLASI-CASI), and is a trained provider of Interactive Metronome®. She has pursued additional education in the areas of sensory integration, praxis, trauma and attachment, emotional regulation, and sound-based interventions. She is also committed to supporting future therapists and has served as a mentor to occupational therapy students.

Outside of the clinic, Kaylin enjoys being active in her church, attending concerts, cheering for the Philadelphia Phillies and college basketball teams (Villanova and Pitt), cooking and baking, and spending time at the beach with family and friends.
